10, 20, 30, 40, 50, 60, 70.

These are total 7 elements i.e n=7, which is an odd number. So the formula for calculating the median for the set of odd number of elements is:

Med= (n+1)/2th value

Putting n=7;

Med=(7+1)/2th value

Med=8/2th value

Med=4th value.

Hence 4th value in the data is 40.

So Median is 40.
