Given data is
15, 17, 13, 19, 20, 12, 16, 14, 18, 22

Arrange this data in a particular order.(Ascending or Descending)

12,13,14,15,16,17,18,19,20,22.

We have even number of terms.

So we have to take the average of central terms.

Central terms are 16 and 17

Average is

16+17/2

33/2

16.5

16.5 is the median for given data.

First arrange the nos. in ascending order.
12,13,14,15,16,17,18,19,20,22
If the total no. of observations is odd
Then,
Use this formulae:-
(n+1/2)th observation
If the total no. of observations is even
Then,
Use this formulae:-
(n/2)th observation +(n+1/2)th observation
