so, median = {(n/2)th + (n/2 + 1) th }/2
24 = (5th + 6th)/2
24 = {(x + 2) + (x + 4)}/2
24 = (x + 3)
x = 21

Here, n=9 , which is an odd no.
We know that, median (n+1/2)th term
=> 24= (9+1/2)th term
=> 24 = 5th term
=> 24 = x + 4
Hence , x= 20
