Here, no. of observations = 10 (even)
Thus, median = 10/2 th = 5th observation
Again, x+2 is the 5 th observation.
Also, it is given that the median is 25.
Thus, x+2 = 25
Or, x = 25 - 2 = 23
2nd part :
Thus, x+4= 27.
Therefore, the terms are 11, 13, 15, 19, 25, 27, 30, 35, 39, 46.
So, mean = (11 +13 + 15 + 19 + 25 + 27 + 30 +35 +39 + 46) /10 = 260/10 = 26
Hence, the mean is 26.
