the median of the observation 39 ,35 , 38 ,40 , 44x+3,55,60,64,68 is 47 find the value of x and the value of 6th observation

Answer:

median=30,35,38,40,44,x+3,55,60,64,68

47=44+x+3/2

47×2=47+x

94=47+x

x=94-47=47

therefore, x=47

6th observation =x+3=47+3=50
