n= 10 which is even
so,
median = (n/2 )th term + (n/2 +1 )th term
------------------------------------------
2
5th term + 6th term
---------------------------= 34
2
33+x
--------=34

33+x= 68
x = 35

The value of x is 35

Step-by-step explanation:

Data : 26,28,31,31,33,x,x+2,27,39,41

No. of observations = 10(even)

Median = \frac{\frac{n}{2}\text{th term}+(\frac{n}{2}+1) \text{th term}}{2}

Median = \frac{\frac{10}{2}\text{th term}+(\frac{10}{2}+1) \text{th term}}{2}

Median = \frac{5 \text{th term}+6 \text{th term}}{2}

Median = \frac{33+x}{2}

We are given that the median is 34

So,  \frac{33+x}{2}=34

33+x=34 \times 2

33+x=68

x=68-33

x=35

Hence The value of x is 35
