arrange the series into increasing order:

19, 21, 29, 32, 36, 44, 47,54

n= 8

median ={(n/2)th term +(n/2 +1)th term}/2

= {(8/2)th term +(8/2 +1)th term}/2

= (4th term + 5th term)/2

= (32 + 36)/2

= 68/2

= 34

Answer:

Median= 34

Option D is correct

Step-by-step explanation:

To find the median of the data,follow these instructions

  1. Arrange data in ascending order.
  2. Arrange data in ascending order.Count total observation
  3. Arrange data in ascending order.Count total observationif numbers are odd,then ((n+1)/2) th term is the median.
  4. Arrange data in ascending order.Count total observationif numbers are odd,then ((n+1)/2) th term is the median.If numbers are even,than the mean of (n/2)th and (n/2+1)th term is median.

Here from the given data

Ascending arrangement:

19,21,29,32,36,44,47,54

n = 8,even number

So, n/2= 8/2=4th

n/2+1= 4+1= 5th

Median

 Median=  \frac{ {4}^{th}  +  {5}^{th} }{2}  \\  \\  =  \frac{32 + 36}{2}  \\  \\  =  \frac{68}{2}  \\  \\Median  = 34 \\  \\

Hope it helps you
