\large\underline\mathrm\blue{(a). \: Haloalkanes:-}

Haloalkanes have higher boiling point as compared to those of corresponding alkanes. This due to their polarity and strong dipole - dipole attractive interactions between haloalkane molecules.

The boiling point of haloalkanes are in the order RCl < RBr < RI. It is because with the increase in size and mass of the halogen atom the magnitude of van der Waal forces of attraction increase.

\large\underline\mathrm\blue{(b). \: Density:-}

Bromo, iodo and polychloro derivatives of hydrocarbons are heavies than water. The density increases with increases in number of carbon atoms, halogen atoms and atomic mass of the halogen atoms.

\large\underline\mathrm\blue{(C). \: Solubility:-}

Haloalkanes and haloarenes are covalent compounds hence they are practically insoluble in water because they are not able to form hydrogen bonds with molecules. They are soluble in organic solvents.
