The melting point of 2 substances A and B are 280 K and 320 K respectively. Are these substances liquid at room temperature? Justify your answer.

Average room temperature is 298k.So if the melting point of substance is below 298k then it is liquid and if the melting point of substance is above 298k then it is solid.So Substance A would be liquid and B would be Solid.

As we know the substance which has temperature less than 25°C is liquid
at room temperature. and substance which has temperature more than 25°C is solid at room temperature.
Here A temperature is 280-273=7°C so it is liquid,
and B temperature is 320-273=47°C ,so it is solid at room temperature.
