The members of the PTA raised some money for the School
Development Fund, in 5 groups. The third group got 600 rupees
more than the first group and 400 rupees more than the second
group. The fifth group got 550 rupees more than the fourth group
and the third group got 200 rupees less than the fourth
group
The ſouth group got 4200 rupees. Find the amount raised by each
group. What is the total amount raised for the development fund?​

Let the 5 groups be T1,T2,T3,T4,T5

Given :

T3 = 600 + T1

T3 = 400 + T2

T5 = 550 + T4

T3 = T4 - 200

T4 = 4200

Sol :

T3 = 4200-200=4000

T1 = 4000-600=3400

T2 = 4000-400=3600

T5 = 550+4200=4750

Total amount raised = 4200 + 4000 + 3400 + 3600 + 4750 = 19950
