The temperature on fahrenheit scale is 115.07 F.

Given that, the mercury thread raises by 6/13 between two points on the Celcius scale.

Hence,

temperature in celcius when placed in hot water (100°C) is:

(6/13) × 100°C = 46.15°C

We know temperature in Farenheit (F) = (9/5) × C + 32  where C is temperature in Celcius

= (9/5) × 46.15 + 32

= 83.07 + 32

= 115.07 F
