Adjacent sides of the rectangle are nothing but its length and the breadth.

Let the length of the rectangle =5a cm and breadth =3a cm.

Area of the rectangle =l×b=29.4cm  2

=1.4

Hence, the length of the rectangle =5a=7cm  and breadth =3a=4.2cm
