AnsWer :

b) ( 2 , 7 )

SolutioN :

Let's,

  • Point be
  • A( - 2 , 4 )
  • B( 6 , 10 )

Now, We know ( Mid-point Formula )

 \tt \dagger \: \: \: \: \: \Bigg[ \dfrac{ x_1 + x_2}{2} \: \: \: , \: \: \: \dfrac{ y_1 + y_2}{2}\Bigg]

Where as,

  • x1 = - 2.
  • x2 = 6.
  • y1 = 4.
  • y2 = 10.

For, x

→ x = - 2 + 6 / 2 .

→ x = 4 / 2.

→ x = 2.

\rule{100}2

For y.

→ y = 4 + 10 / 2.

→ y = 14 / 2.

→ y = 7.

\rule{100}2

SO,

The mid-points of the line-segments joining the points A and B is ( x , y ) → ( 2 , 7 )

\rule{200}3

SomE InformatioN :

→ Mid-point Formula :

 \tt \dagger \: \: \: \: \: \Bigg[ \dfrac{ x_1 + x_2}{2} \: \: \: , \: \: \: \dfrac{ y_1 + y_2}{2}\Bigg]

→ Section Formula :

 \tt \dagger \: \: \: \: \: \Bigg[ \dfrac{ m_1x_2+ m_2x_1}{m_1+m_2}\Bigg]
