The middle classes assumed a critical job in the non collaboration Movement in the city.  

The reasons are given below:  

  1. The middle class couldn't manage the cost of being out of employment and out of administration.  
  2. The private offices were too costly to even consider affording.  
  3. The kids were sent to government schools, the lawyers went to government courts.  
  4. They re directed to their old set.  

In this way, the middle classes made the development moderate.

Middle class played an important role in the NCM in cities as -


1) They totally boycotted foreign goods and increase the production of Indian factories and industries


2) Liquor shops were closed


3) students and headmasters leave their jobs and universities


4) Lawyers left their jobs
