The line segment has three vital points , the two ends and the mid-point. Here, we have to use the section formula to find the value of variables used i.e. m and n.

The value of m=2 and n=8.

We used section formula as it was given that the third point is the mid-point of the rest two points.

On calculating x and y co-ordinates seperately we find the value of m through x and value of n through y.
