As most of the people would agree, it is the fire to be kindled.
But there are two obvious meanings of it.
1) The fire is useful for the surroundings i.e. the mind is being used for the goodness of the society.
For example, a fire which fulfills the requirement of warming up the atmosphere. and, Similarly Albert Einstein's mind, which fulfilled the requirement of harmless electricity using minimum resources.
2) It is a disaster and killing the surrounding i.e. your mind is really harmful to the society.
For example, the fire destroying the assents and environment.
and, similarly, the fire or the idea kindled in Einstein's mind is destructive enough to kill the entire human race in just one second.
And I think it is okay that, sometimes we think some crazy, selfish ideas, which may be proved to be harmful, but then we must make our mind a vessel to be filled, provided that, we'll trash that useless water which we've filled in it.
All I've written are really obvious things, but so is the quote you mentioned. But sometimes, unfortunately, when we're too frustrated, exhausted and mean, it becomes hard to believe these quotes and sentences, we just break all the sincerity and harm the innocent people.
Thanks for kindling my mind, too.
P.S. I am not accusing Einstein for the destruction. I've written it just as an example.
