Taking the face of the clock to be a circle,
radius \: r = 1.4 \: m
The minute hand rotates 360 degrees in an hour.

Therefore, distance of rotation of the minute hand in 1 hour = circumference of the circle of radius r

Which is,
2\pi r \: = \: 2 \times \frac{22}{7} \times \frac{14}{10} \\ \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: = \: \frac{44}{5} = \: 8 \frac{4}{5} \: = \: 8.8 \: m \: sol.
Answer: The minutes hand moves 8.8 m in an hour.
Thanks.
