The minutes hand of a clock is 9 cm and that of hour hand is 7 cm. if they run for 3 days, how much distance is covered by both the hands

THE DISTANCE COVERED WILL BE THEIR AREAS PERTICULARLY....

MEANS SMALL ONE HAS THE RADIUS OF 9CM

AREA OF CIRCLE=πR2

=22/7*9*9

=254.57....

now it completes 1 round in 1 hour...

so it is the distance of 1 HR ...

24 hrs in 1 day...

72 hrs in 3 days ...

72*254.57

18,329.04 cm2

and of the HR hand ...

hr hand has 7cm radius...

22/7*7*7

132cm2

this hand rotates once a day...

so in3 days three rotations ....

132*3

=396 cm2

so the distance covered by minute hand is 18,329.04 cm2

and. the distance covered by hour hand is 396 cm2
