the mixture of three gases X Y and Z is enclosed in a closed vessel at constant temperature molecular weight of X is the least. when equilibrium is established the(1) gases X will be more at bottom(2) gases Y will be more at top (3) gas X Y Z are homogenously present (4) gas Y will be more at bottom

answer : option (3) gas X, Y and Z are homogeneously present.

explanation : gases of same or different molecular weight always mix homogeneously.

for instance, air is an example of homogeneous mixture. we know in air, contains 78% nitrogen, 21% oxygen and some amount of carbon and other gases. here you can see molecular weight of nitrogen , carbon dioxide and oxygen are different in spite of this, these are mix homogeneously.

same here, X , Y and Z are different gases and out in closed vessel at constant temperature then, after equilibrium, gases are homogeneously present in the vessel.
