The modern educated man is torn between what the voice of education tell him to do and his inner voice of conscience which tells him to be compassionate and be at one with nature and creatures on it . is the poem snake a reflection of this sentiment

yes,as in the poem the snake,the author is really attracted towards the snake. He treats him like a guest. Similarly human beings loves and enjoy nature. They want to conserve and be one with it.In both cases the inner voice tells us so.

But like the poem the voice of education tells us to harvest nature for our own selfish reason. In the poem too,the author's voice of education told him to kill the snake since it is venomous.So there is a deep irony in both the poem and real life regarding the case of our voice s
