Given info : The molar conductivities at infinite dilution for NaI, CH3COONa and (CH3COO)₂Mg are 10.59,7.10 and 16.58 S m² mol−1.

To find : Λ°m for MgI₂ is ....

solution : here

molar conductivity at infinite of NaI , Λ∞ NaI = 10.59 Sm²/mol

Λ∞ CH₃COONa = 7.10 Sm²/mol

Λ∞ (CH₃COO)₂Mg = 16.58 Sm²/mol

Λ∞ MgI = x (let)

molar conductance of MgI at infinite dilution is given as

Λ∞ MgI = Λ∞ (CH₃COO)₂Mg + Λ∞ NaI - Λ∞ CH₃COONa

⇒x = 16.58 + 10.59 - 7.10

⇒x = 20.07

Therefore molar conductance at infinite dilution of MgI is 20.07 Sm²mol¯¹
