n1 = W1 / M1

n1 = 1000 / 18

n1 = 55.56 mol

Mole fraction of NaOH in aqueous solution -

X2 = n2 / (n1 + n2)

X2 = 5 / (55.56 + 5)

X2 = 0.0826

Therefore, mole fraction of NaOH is 0.0826 .
