According to me, 2.5 molal aqueous solution means 2.5 moles of solute in 1 kg solvent,
⇒ moles of solute=2.5
moles of water=1000/18=55.55
(1000/ H2O as water has 18)
so mole fraction = 2.5/(2.5+55.55)
=(moles of solute/ moles of solute +solvent)
=0.043(approx)
