Mass per unit area = M 1/2
base = a
Moment of inertia = I = 1/2 x m/1/2ah x 1/2 ax x xdx
x is the small strip along h from base.

So, moment of inertia at the base = 1/2 x M/h limit x^2.dx.
=M/2 (x^3/3)
=M/2 . h^3/3
=Mh^2/2

Hope it helps u!
