Let their respective incomes be 4x and 5x

Their expenditure be 5y and 6y respectively

Person A:

4x-5y=25

Answer:

Let A:B incomes be 4x:5x and their expenditure be 5y:6y

We know that Income - Expenditure = Savings. Hence:

4x - 5y = 25 and 5x - 6y = 50.

Multiplying the first by 5 and second by 4 we get::

20x - 25y = 125

20x - 24y = 200 hence y =75

Therefore 4x - 5*75 =25 hence 4x = 25+ 375 =₹400/- which is A's monthly income..(1)

Therefore B's monthly income is ₹500/- ..(2)
