Let the monthly income be 4x and 5x.
And , Monthly expenditure be 7y and 9y.
ATQ,
4x - 7y = 50 (1) ( For 1st person)
5x - 9y = 50 (2) (for 2nd person)
Multiply (1) by 5 and (2) by 4
20x - 35y = 250
20x - 36y = 200
(1) - (2)
y = 50
Put in (1)
4x - 350 = 50
4x = 400
x = 100
Therefore monthly income are 4x = 400 and 5y =250 respectively.
And , Monthly expenditure be 7y and 9y.
