Solution :-
Let us assume that,
- income of a = 3x
- income of b = 7x
- expenditure of a = y
- expenditure = 3y .
we know that,
- Income - Expenditure = Saving .
So,
→ 3x - y = 200 --------- (1)
→ 7x - 3y = 200 -------- (2)
Multiply first equation by 3 and subtracting (2) from (1),
→ 3(3x - y) - (7x - 3y) = 3*200 - 200
→ 9x - 7x - 3y + 3y = 600 - 200
→ 2x = 400
→ x = 200 .
Therefore,
→ Monthly income of a = 3x = 3 * 200 = Rs.600 .
Hence,
→ Annual income of a = 600 * 12 = Rs.7200 (Ans.)
