Step-by-step explanation:

Let the ashok and bala be a and b =3:4 ratio =3x and 4x

expenditure ratio =4:5=4y and 5y

now, calculate the ratio of difference (3x-4y):(4x-5y)

so let 3x-4y be and 4x-5y be as 5x and 4x

9y and 7y

5x-9y=500

4x-7y=500

from this 1 and 2 equations

y=x/2

from equation 1

5x-9y× x/2 =500

hence 5000/4000 ,

5/4 = 5:4 ratio

now reciprocal the ratio 5:4 = 4:5 like

4/5

Answer:

4:5

Step-by-step explanation:

Let incomes be 3x and 4x

Let expenditures be 4y and 5y

Savings will be = 3x-4y:4x-5y

Putting 1st condition: 3x2 - 4x3 : 4x2 - 5x3 = 12:7

Putting 2nd condition: 3x4 - 4x5 : 4x4 - 5x5 = 8:9

We can further put in the conditions and verify but what we are looking for is 2nd condition as x>y

Therefore, option b
