Let the salaries be 4x and 7x

Therefore,

5(4x + 25) = 3(7x + 25)

20x + 125 = 21x + 75

x = 50

Therefore, their salaries are 4(50) & 7(50) i.e., 200 & 350

Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

Let their salaries be 3x and 5x.

According to the question,

(3x + 20) ÷ (5x + 20) = 13/21

21 (3x + 20) = 13 (5x + 20)

63x + 420 = 65x + 260

420 - 260 = 65x - 63x

160 = 2x

x = 80

3x = 3×80 = 240

5x = 5×80 = 400

Therefore, the respective salaries are Rs. 240 and Rs. 400
