Answer:

48000 rupees

Step-by-step explanation:

savings of A is 24000

only 40%

then, 40% of x is 24000

40/100x=24000

x=24000×100÷40

=60000 is A's monthly salary

B is 20% less than A's Salary

so 20% of A is 60000×20/100

=12000

B's salary is 60000-12000= 48000

The monthly salary of B is Rs. 48,000.

Given - Relation between salary and saving of A and B

Find - Monthly salary of B

Solution - Let the monthly salary of A. Now, a sper the given information about saving of A, the equation will be -

40%*x = 24000

 \frac{40}{100}  \times x = 24000

x =  \frac{24000 \times 100}{40}

x = 600 \times 100

x = 60000

So, monthly salary of A is Rs. 60,000.

Let the monthly salary of B be y.

60,000 - 20%*60000 = y

y = 60000 -  \frac{20 \times 60000}{100}

y = 60000 - 12000

y = 48000

Hence, the monthly salary of B is Rs. 48,000.
