The atmosphere of the moon is a very scant presence of gases surrounding the moon. For most practical purposes, the moon is considered to be surrounded by vacuum.

The gravitational pull of our moon is very weak.

Due to this the gaseous atoms which make up the atmosphere are able to leave the moon very easily.

This over time must have been the cause of no atmosphere on moon.
