The moon is about 384400 km from the earth and its path around the earth is nearly circular. Find the circumference of the path described by the moon in lunar month.

So radius(r) =384000 km

So length of path is circumference

=2πr=2×3.14×384000

=2×314×3840

=2411520 km.

I think so, this much is helpful to you..

so, can you give 5 rating

Answer :

Moon Revolves round the earth .

The distance travelled is simply the circumference of circle .

we know that ,

Circumference Of Circle = 2*π*r (where r is radius of Circle)

Here Distance Between earth and moon = Radius of Circle = 385000kms

therefore distance traveled by moon in a month = 2*π*r

=2*22/7*385000 kms

=2*22*55000kms

=44*55000 kms

=2.4×10^6 km
