luminous bodies are the bodies which emits light of their own .. example..sun


but moon reflects the light produce by the sun .. the moon does not emits the light of it s own .. so that it is not a luminous body

cause it does not have its know lights.The light that reaches earth at night is just because of the light reflected from the sun on moon and then to the earth......
