As we know that moon's gravitational field strength is one - sixth of the earth.

Hence the weight of 1 kg object on earth will weigh one - sixth part of 1 kilograms.

 \frac{1}{6}  \times 1000 = 166.666 \: g

Mass of any object is always constant. But weight of any object will differ with change in gravitational force.

Weight is defined as the product of actual pass and the gravity.

 \mathtt{ \huge{ \fbox{Solution :)}}}

Given ,

Weight of object object = 1 kg

We know that ,

The weight of the object on the moon is 1/6 times of weight of the object on the earth

 \large \mathtt{ \fbox{ Weight_{(on \: the \: moon)} =  \frac{1}{6}  \times Weight_{(on \: the \: earth)} }}

Thus ,

Weight = (1/6) × 1

Weight = 1/6

Weight = 0.167 kg

Hence , Weight of object on the moon is 0.167 kg
