Explanation:

The Last Victim,” by Jason Moss.

A true story where 18 year old Jason Moss gets a simple idea that is as dangerous as it is brilliant. In order to learn about serial killers, he will study the case histories of various serial killers and then write to the murderers posing as either the perfect disciple or the perfect victim. He conducts ongoing correspondences with some of the nation’s most notorious serial killers including Charles Manson, Jeffrey Dahmer, Richard Ramirez (the “Night Stalker”), and John Wayne Gacy (the “Killer Clown”) among others. Jason Moss had the most extensive relationship with John Wayne Gacy for which Moss was playing the guise of the perfect victim. He found out first hand what it was like to be stalked by one of these monsters as John Wayne Gacy started tracking him down and repeatedly calling him at home. Eventually Moss went to the jail where Gacy was locked up for a series of three interviews. Unbeknownst to Moss, Gacy had paid off the guards so that Moss would be all alone with Gacy in his jail cell. Furthermore, Moss had been posing as a perfect victim and was of the gender and age that Gacy preyed on; he had already murdered 33 young men and boys. While in the jail cell, John Wayne Gacy’s mask came off and Moss suddenly realized that the only people to ever see that inhuman look were the 33 murdered victims and that he might just become number 34 — the last victim. The reason he didn’t is because there were three interviews scheduled and Gacy’s MO was to stretch out the ordeal as long as possible before killing the person. But Moss did experience what is was like to have one of these monsters proceed to break you down emotionally and psychologically. Moss never went to the third interview; I wouldn’t have gone to the second.

It’s a very chilling and morbidly fascinating story but it is not for everyone.
