The mother needs to accomplish her duty as being a mom and when her children are all grown up she will no longer need to worry about failing as a parent.As all parents they want to see them grow and teach them everything she can..but again I could be wrong and maybe she just wants to be a grandma.

When she sees her children well settled and she is sure that they can take care of themselves, then only she can think of leaving them.
