• What is the daughter's age ?

Solution :-

~Here, we’re given the mother’s age at the time of her daughter’s birth which tells that at that time daughter’s age was 0 years. Now we’ll assume the present age of daughter and will form an equation according to the question. After solving that equation we’ll get the present age of the daughter.

• Daughter’s age = 0 years  
• Mother’s age = 24 years  

★  Present situation :

• Daughter’s age = x years  
• Mother’s age = ( 24 + x ) years  

According to the question :-

⟶ 5x – x = 24  

⟶ 4x = 24  

⟶ x = 24/4  

⟶ x = 6
