Distance traveled in 2 s

s2s2 = 6 + 4*2^2 + 2^4

s2s2 = 6 + 16 + 16 = 38 m

Similarly distance traveled in 3 s

s3s3 = 6 + 4*3^2 + 3^4

s3s3 = 6 + 36 + 81 = 123 m

Distance traveled during 3rd second

s3−s2s3−s2 = 123 - 38 = 85 m

Average velocity during 3rd second = 85/1 = 85 m/s.
