since y is displacement and function of time t, differentiating it with respect to t gives velocity and differentiating velocity with respect to t gives acceleration

y = ut + 1  \div 2 \: gt  ^{2} \\ d \div dt(y) = 1 + gt \\ d ^{2} y \div dt ^{2}  = g

so if mass is m and accln is g

force acting at any instant= mass × accln

=m×g (Ans)
