Potter’s wheel is an example of rotary motion.Rotary motion is that kind of motion in which body of the mass moves along a circular path about an axis which remains fixed.

Part of the potter wheel undergoing circular motion but wheel position does not vary. A body moving in a circular path is called circular motion.

When a body changes its position with time with respect to a fixed point, it is said to be in motion.
