Explanation ⇒ The Motion of a rigid body supported by an mass less inextensible string is called as the motion of Torsional Pendulum.

Torsional Pendulum is the part of Physical Pendulum, which is having an Time Period of,

T = 2π√(I/K)

where, is the moment of Inertia, and K is the Torsion constant.

This Motion is angular Simple Harmonic Motion.

Since, it is Angular S.H.M. , it must be Oscillatory. Also, It must be Periodic.

It cannot be simple Harmonic Motion, because simple Harmonic Motion does not involves Rotational Analogy.
