The movement against the Roman Catholic church started with financial burden on everyone. The Church was charging people for these slips of paper called indulgences that basically said that there sins had been forgiven. After this incident a man named Martin Luther who created the 95 theses which listed all the reasons that the people should lead a movement against the church.
