Plates

Tectonic plates are remnants of Earth's crust and topmost covering, commonly attributed to as the lithosphere. The plates are approximately 100 km deep and comprised of two principal kinds of substance: marine crust which is also known as Sima which forms out of magnesium and silicon.

The further lithosphere is crumbled up into tectonic plates. There are majorly 7 tectonic plates on Earth namely, Pacific plate,  Eurasian plate,  Indo-Australian plate, North American plate, the African plate, Antarctic plate, and South American plate.
