4% of discount = 4/100 × 6000

= rs 240

Price of an item discount = 6000 - 240

= 5760

12% of vat on 5760 = 12/100 ×5760 = 691.2

Hence, selling price of an item = 5760 + 691.2

= 6451.2

Therefore, total cash to pay including tax = rs 6451.2
