gst paid by dealer is 509 - 429 =80.

Step-by-step explanation:

cost of an article= rs.5000

dealer buys it 20% discount i.e, 5000*20%= 4000

now gst paid by dealer is 12% = cgst= 4000/112*12= 429

dealer got an article at 4429

sold to customer for 5% discount= 5000*5%=4750

gst paid by customer = 4750/112*12= 509

he sold to customer at 4750
