The mrp of an object is rs. 1920. The shopkeeper allows a discount of 10% and gains 8%. If no discount is allowed his gain % would be?

MP = (100/(100-D%)) * SP

1920 = 100/90 *SP

SP = (1920 * 90) / 100

SP = 1728


SP = CP + 8/100 * CP

Let CP = x


1728 = x * 108/100

x = (1728 * 100) / 108 = 1600


CP = 1600

No discount is provided so New SP = 1920


Profit % = (1920 - 1600) / 1600 * 100 = 320/16 = 20%
