Explanation:

Till not very long ago, Kashmir indeed was a paradise, but no longer now. Paradise means a place with unearthly beauty, peace, serenity and bliss. With the recent attacks on Amarnath Yatris and killing of a tourist from Chennai, this place is no less than a hell for those who might want to visit the state. The Valley is also become hell for the people who live there and face constant threats from the terrorists and the security forces in equal measure. They are in fact caught between the two forces, the state and the terrorists/Islamist jehadis.

In the earlier days, constant visit of tourists and the phenomenal hospitality of Kashmiri people have spread the word of being next to Heaven where everything seemed to be excellent including the weather, mountains, flora-fauna,beautiful people, interesting customs & traditions, cuisine, handicrafts and carpets, clothes, fruits, etc.

But after the recent events, die-hard tourists have looking for alternate Paradises such as Sikkim, Arunachal, Himachal, North-East states, etc. This bids unwell for the people of Kashmir, but nothing can be done till there is peace and tranquility there and the people are less religiously intolerant.
