The bankers and moneylenders became powerful in Bengal and Awadh because the Zamindars took loan from the bankers and the moneylenders and kept their lancurity against the loan. Due to the increasing rate of revenue by th Mughal ruler the cultivators and the ijaradars also took loan form the bankers andoneylenders.
