Given:

We have given a number which is  (3\times4)^-^2 .

To Find:

We will show the multiplicative inverse of that number is 144.

Step-by-step explanation:

Multiplicative inverse:

  • Let and number a then we will say the multiplicative inverse of number a is that number which when we multiply it with it will give us 1.
  • Thus, the multiplicative inverse os any number is that number which will be given 1 on multiplication with the given number. Also multiplicative inverse of every number is unique.
  • Now we have the question which included the number.

       (3\times4)^-^2

  • For finding the inverse of the above number first of all we will multiply the brackets terms 3 and 4 we get.

       \Rightarrow 12^-^2

  • Now the inverse of number or to the power minus will result into the reciprocal of that number to change its power in positiver we get.

     \Rightarrow\frac{1}{(12)^2}

  • Now do the square of denominator term

     \Rightarrow\frac{1}{144}

  • Thus, on multiplying the above number by 144 we get 1. which show inverse is 144

Hence the inverse of above number is 144.
