The name Pakistan was first coined by (C) Choudhry Rahmat Ali. He coined the term Pakistan in 1933.

He gave the country this name using the first letters of places such as Punjab (P), Afghania (A), Kashmir (K), Sind (S), and Baluchistan (TAN).

He published this name for the "first time" in the pamphlets made by him titled Now or Never”. Initially, the country was named as PAKSTAN. To make it convenient 'I' was inserted between K and S and it turned to be PAKISTAN.
